Matsu To Have Surgery Today

From the Yankees, via Pete Caldera:

Hideki Matsui will not travel with the team to Toronto and will instead have arthroscopic surgery performed on his left knee on Monday evening by Dr. Scott Rodeo at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.

....he is expected to return for spring training on time.

Matsui finished the season hitting .294/.370/.424 with 9 HR and 45 RBI.
