Mussina, Cone Provide Biting Commentary in Torre's Book

I'm wondering how you guys feel about this bit of info.

Besides Torre and bullpen catcher Mike Borzello other Yankees added their commentary to the upcoming book The Yankees Years, including Mike Mussina and David Cone. Here's some info from Ronald Blum:
Pitcher Mike Mussina and bullpen catcher Mike Borzello also provide many biting commentaries.
Torre, Borzello, Mussina and David Cone provide insights in the book as to what went wrong, on how the replacements for Paul O'Neill, Tino Martinez and Scott Brosius were all flawed in some aspect.
I've very interested to see what the two pitchers had to say, aren't you?

UPDATE: Today on The Michael Kay Show on ESPN Radio, Kay was talking to Ian O'Connor discussing the Torre book. This is a quote from Kay: "... there's a really, really, harsh, harsh quote that Mariano Rivera is not what he used to be, hasn't been the same since he blew the save in game seven against the Diamond Backs... and it's a quote from Mike Mussina."

If the guy Kay spoke to was telling the truth, that's a surprising quote.

I know many of you are very angry at Torre, so to those fans, and any one else who feels like answering, how do you feel about these comments?

I don't care about what Torre says at all, but then again like I said earlier, I never liked him. I would be very bothered if Mussina said some bad stuff, not so much Cone, because things surely have changed since Cone left, while it would probably be fresh stuff with the moose which would lead me to believe there is still plenty of problems in that clubhouse.

Torre is a fraud he ripped David Wells for putting out a tell all book. Moose would annoy me because he would be on yankees still when or if he made and bad comments about teammates. David Cone is now a part of the media he is a baseball analyst so he is entitled to whatever opinion he has.

I'm not angry at Torre at all. IF the reports on his book are accurate, he has merely shown a side of himself that I have always suspected is there. That is, that he has internalized the hype to the degree that he now believes that he is practically infallible.

As others have said, the 2004 ALCS playoff collapse has completely distorted the perception of both the team and A-Rod. If the Yankees had won that series (and gone on the win the WS), no one would be questioning their character, their grittiness, or their mental toughness.

Ironically or not, it was Torre's terrible bullpen management in that series that was at least as responsible for the collapse as the bad bounces or the failure to hit with RISP after Game 3.

Can't disagree with you there. He made many terrible moves in that series.

You guys want to crucify Torre for the book, and calling A-Rod A-Fraud, but nobody cares that Moose calls Rivera overrated?

Greg, that's the one that's got me shaking my head: Mussina on Mo? Is he kidding?

I'm surprised by it too.

Who would know about these quotes or give validity to these quotes if not for that scumbag rat bastard Torre?

Sammy the bull.

Funny Torre didn't talk about his horrible managing of the bullpen. And Mussina talks way too much for someone who hasn't won anything.
