Projected Pitching Matchups
With Mike Scioscia announcing that Lackey will not go on short rest and Girardi announcing that Sabathia will, the pitching situation becomes much clearer. Here it is, I'll throw in the first two games just for the hell of it:
1) Sabathia/Lackey (Yanks win 4-1)
2) Burnett/Saunders (Yanks win 4-3 in 13)
3) Pettitte/Weaver
4) Sabathia/Kazmir
5) Burnett/Lackey
6) Pettitte/Saunders
7) Sabathia/Weaver
I like the Yanks chances in games four, six, and seven. It's far from over but the Angels are going to have a tough time taking this series.
