Regular Season Game 29: Yankees @ Red Sox - Aceves Leaves Game With Injury

(Update 8:15 p.m.) Mark Teixeira makes its a 3 home run game. Wow.

(Update 8:08 p.m.) Now pitching for the Red Sox, outfielder James Van Every.

(Update 7:27 p.m.) Aceves left the game with a stiff lower back.

(Update 6:48 p.m.) Alfredo Aceves left the game in the sixth inning after throwing a pitch. It looked like he slipped and may have pulled something, he's also had back problems. He wasn't limping when he left the game, but the Yankees weren't taking any chances.

(UPDATE 6:02 p.m.) The tarp is coming off the field. 6:20 re-start time.

(UPDATE 5:43 p.m.) According to those at the game, the rain has died down and it looks like they'll be able to restart the action.

(UPDATE 5:10 p.m.) The game is currently being delay in the bottom of the 5th with the Yankees win 6-3. Boston has a man on with two out. CC Sabathia is still on the mound and Victor Martinez was at the plate with a 2-2 count. The FOX weather dude said the delay should last 30-45 minutes... Updates coming.

Greg's Note: Sorry about the game threads the last two days--none yesterday, late today--I've just been extremely busy, but they'll be back to normal tomorrow.

And don't forget tomorrow night's live game chat starting at 7:45 p.m.
