Right-hander Javier Vazquez made some tosses on flat ground before Saturday night’s game at Citi Field, testing his bruised right index finger. "It felt OK," said Vazquez, though he isn’t certain about making Thursday’s scheduled start at Minnesota until he throws a bullpen session Monday or Tuesday.
"[It’s] way too early to tell," manager Joe Girardi said.
After the start he had I never thought I'd say this, but the Yankees kinda need Javy to come back soon, especially if he continues to pitch like he has in his last three outings.
