More On Adam Dunn

It seems that most Yankees fans want the guy, but with good reason, many people feel it's unlikely the Yankees will land Adam Dunn. He doesn't want to DH, plus the Nats are going to ask for an king's ransom in return for the slugger.

Here's another reason (via Andrew Marchand) why people don't think a Dunn-to-New York would work out so well:
"He's not a New York kind of guy," the executive [who worked with Dunn] said.

Dunn, the executive added, is a "good guy," but "lazy."

"He is one of those guys that takes pride in the fact that he doesn't work out that much," the executive said.
Marchand goes on to mention that Dunn doesn't sound like a guy that would fit in too well in Joe Girardi's clubhouse, but that "the 40 homers and near .400 on-base percentage that Dunn puts up every year may make this a moot point."

For the most part, I agree. In the end this is a game about results, so if he came here, was "lazy", and continue to hit like he's been hitting all year, I don't think too many people would be complaining. But if he struggles and still doesn't want to work, that would be a problem.

What do you guys think? I'm sure after these last two posts, a lot of fans might be changing their minds about Dunn.
