CC and Cano Lead Yanks To Easy 10-0 Win Over Seattle

I'm busy this morning, so I'm just going to go with some bullets for this easy 10-0 win over the last-place Mariners.
  • CC Sabathia continues to make a strong case for the AL Cy Young award as he shut down the Mariners for six innings. The big lefty held them to just three hits, while fanning eight on his way to his league-leading 17th win of the season. He only threw 76 pitches, and would have probably last until at least the 8th had the game not been delayed by rain.
  • Robinson Cano did most of the damage on offense. The MVP candidate went 2-for-6 with a grand slam and six RBI. The homer was his 25th of the season. The grand slam turned a 1-0 game to 5-0 and the Yankees never looked back.
  • Austin Kearns hit his second homer as a Yankee, a solo shot that in the 4th to give the Yankees an early 1-0 lead.
  • Jorge Posada hit his 15th of the year, a solo shot.
  • Derek Jeter and Marcus Thames also had an RBI apiece.
  • Eduardo Nunez picked up his second big league hits, a single turned double thanks to some nicely placed puddles in right field.
  • Kerry Wood and Joba Chamberlain combined to throw three innings of scoreless ball in relief.
  • The Yankees are now 12-0 this year with Alex Rodriguez out of the lineup.... Yes, baseball is a strange game.
