- According to Chad Jennings, Ivan Nova will be replacing Javier Vazquez in the rotation and will start on Sunday. Vazquez, for now, will be in the pen and he is available tonight. Girardi also told Jennings that the move is for this one turn through the rotation, and that he hasn’t made a decision about the rotation going forward.

- Alfredo Aceves will throw two innings in relief for the Trenton Thunder tonight.

- Cliff Lee is starting to get angry at the idea that he's already decided to come to the Yankees next season.

- Johnny Damon is staying in Detroit.
