Is the rivalry still THE RIVALRY?

Here's one opinion from TSN's Chris Bahr:
When the Yankees and Red Sox renew their rivalry tonight, a certain amount of buzz will be lacking. That's because New York is in a hotly contested battle for first place ... with Tampa Bay. Banged-up Boston will be without Kevin Youkilis (thumb), Dustin Pedroia (foot) and Mike Cameron (abdomen), making an already tough assignment even tougher. The Red Sox can't afford to fall much further behind the Yankees and Rays, against whom they are a combined 7-13 this season. Dating back to last season, Boston is 1-8 in its past nine games at Yankee Stadium. This season, Nick Swisher, Mark Teixeira, Robinson Cano and Alex Rodriguez have combined for eight homers and 34 RBIs in eight games against the Red Sox.
I personally have gotten into the game against the Rays more this year than the games against Boston. I've always look at the Rays as the Yankees main competition, therefore, those games are more important to me. But I'm much more interested in what you guys have to say. How are you feeling about Yankees-Sox rivalry?
