Pettitte Suffers A Setback (UPDATED)

(UPDATED 2:19 pm) The original King article has been updated. Pettitte was suffering from tight hip flexor, but Cashman said he was not concerned. Pettitte is now scheduled to throw a simulated game on Firday.

According to George A. King III, Andy Pettitte was scratched from his simulated game today. The plan for Pettitte was to throw 60 pitches in a simulated game today, and then make a rehab start on Tuesday if he got through today without a problem. King says no reason was give by the Yankees for this decision.

Let's hope it's nothing major and costs him just a few days of rehab time. If and when the Yankees decide to tell the media why Pettitte was scratched today, I'll update this post.
