9/14 Minor League Report - Pettitte Helps Trenton Take Game 1

(Triple-A) Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's season is over. They were knocked out by Columbus in the 1st round of the IL playoffs.

(Double-A) Trenton (1-0) beat Altoona (0-1) 3-2 in 10 innings in game one of the best-of-five Eastern League championship: Box - Recap

Austin Romine C: 2-for-5, RBI (1) --- singled in the eventual winning run in the 10th

Damon Sublett LF: 0-for-4
Luis Nunez SS: 1-for-4, 2B, R
Matthew Cusick 2B: 1-for-3, BB, R

Andy Pettitte: 5 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, WP (2.00 ERA) --- threw 67 pitches, 49 for strikes, and then threw 15 more after leaving the game in the bullpen.
Andrew Brackman (W, 1-0): 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K, 2 HB (0.00 ERA)

Groundouts-flyouts: Pettitte 7-2, Brackman 6-5.

(High-A) Tampa's season is over. They beat Charlotte in the best-of-five Florida State League Championship Series to win their second championship in a row.

(Low-A) Charleston's season is over. They finished 65-74, good for 5th in the South Atlantic League's Northern division.

(Single-A Short-Season) Staten Island's season is over. They finished 34-40 which was tied for last in the McNamara Division.

(Rookie) GCL Yankees' season is over. At 24-32 they finished last in the GCL. The GCL Phillies won the Championship.
