The Series Ahead: Yankees Vs Blue Jays

Yankees - Blue Jays
Yankee Stadium
(3 Games)

Series At A Glance

Yankees:
  • The Yankees are (84-50) and maintain the best record in baseball
  • The Yankees are 7-3 in their last 10 games.
  • The Yankees have the highest scoring offense in baseball.
  • The Yankees lead over the Rays is 1.5 games and 8 games over Boston.
  • Coming off a 4 game series sweep against the A's the Yankee will look for some redemption against the Blue Jays who took 2 of 3 from them back in Toronto during the last road trip.
  • On August 11th I broke down the yankees remaining schedule. The Yankees are in the second series of the first critical stretch and so far so good. If the Yankees can take at least 4 of the next 6 they should be in great shape for the stretch run.
Blue Jays:
  • The Blue Jays are (69-64) they sit in a tough luck 4th place in the AL East. I wonder how they would do in the Central or West.
  • The Jays are 5-5 in their last 10 games.
  • They have scored 620 runs and allowed 585
  • The Jays are 34-37 on the road this season.
  • The Royals pitching has been giving the Yankees problems all season.
  • THE ONE THING THAT CANNOT HAPPEN IS FOR THE YANKEES TO LET JOSE BAUTISTA BEAT THEM.
Three Questions
  • Will Alex Rodriguez come back fully healthy?
  • Can Javier Vazquez carry his bullpen success to the starting rotation?
  • When will Derek Jeter turn his season around?
