Cano Takes Home Second Silver Slugger

I feel sort of foolish even posting this, as I'm not sure that the formality of the announcement was even needed. Let's take a look at the field.

Robinson Cano - .319/.381/.534, 145 wRC+, 29 HR, 3 SB
Dustin Pedroia - .288/.367.493, 135 wRC+, 12 HR, 9 SB
Ian Kisler - .286/.382/.412, 122 wRC+, 9 HR, 15 SB
Mark Ellis - .291/.358/.381, 106 wRC+, 5 HR, 7 SB
Orlando Hudson - .268/.338/.372, 100 wRC+, 6 HR, 10 SB

Should that not paint a vivid enough picture of Cano's dominance relative to the rest of the American League, keep in mind that his two closest competitors - Pedroia and Kinsler - missed a combined 146 games, while also posting much better numbers at home.

Here are the AL and NL winners, courtesy of MLB.com.
