ESPN: Pettitte to Announce Retirement Tomorrow

As such, I would like to congratulate Andy Pettitte on a tremendous career. I wish him the very best in his future endeavors, and extend my personal gratitude for his time in pinstripes and helping to draw me into Yankees fandom.

This strikes me as a very classy move by Pettitte, though I'm not quite sure what the standard operating procedure for retirement is.
