A Look Back: Opening Day 1992

.... OK, I know some of you are thinking 'What the hell is Greg talking about?' But I was browsing around the Youtubes and stumbled across this clip. It's the MSG Network intro for the game. Buck Showalter was a rookie manager, Scott Sanderson was on the mound for the Yanks and he faced some guy named Roger Clemens.

This was actually the first Opening Day I ever attended. I was sitting in a luxury box just on the third base side of home (I have no idea how my dad got the tickets and I've never been in a luxury box since).

The Yankees won 4-3, Sanderson threw six strong innings for the win, Steve Farr got the save, and Clemens got tagged with the loss. Roberto Kelly drove in three for the Yankees batting in the no. 3 spot. Don Mattingly, batting 2nd, went 3-for-4 with a run scored. (Box Score)
