Jeter is in the Lineup, Mo a Game Time Decision

- According to Wallace Matthews, Mariano Rivera is scheduled to throw some long toss before the game. He will then talk to Yankees trainers and they'll decide whether he'll be available tonight.

- Lance Pendleton has been optioned down to Triple-A to make room for Phil Hughes on the roster.

- Speaking of Hughes, the right-hander sounds very confident coming into this start. Here's some evidence via Chad Jennings: “I know it’ll be good,” Hughes said. “I know my stuff is there, I just have to execute pitches. I know if I do that, I’ll be fine. I’m not going out there with any wonder or curiosity or doubt. I’m just going out trying to execute every pitch I can.”

“The difference is like night and day,” Hughes said. “The way the ball’s coming out of my hand now, I’m actually getting swings and misses. I don’t exactly know what went wrong, but I know something went wrong, so now that it’s fixed. I’m just happy to have my stuff back and to be able to go out there and compete.”

- As you can see below, Derek Jeter is in the Yankees lineup even if Girardi made it seem like that wasn't going to be the case last night. Jeter is also hitting .417 (5-for-12) off tonight's Indians starter Justin Masterson,
