Yanks Finally Take A Series From The Sox

I'm tired, I had a long day and an even longer night thanks to another 4+ hour Yanks-Sox game. But to summarize:
  • A.J. actually wasn't horrible, allowing just two runs in 5.2 innings. His only real mistake was a two-run homer off the bat of Dustin Pedroia.
  • Russell Martin had a huge two-run double in the 7th to give the Yanks a 3-2 lead.
  • Eric Chavez came off the bench to drive in the Yanks 4th run after Martin's double.
  • Curtis Granderson saved the game with a spectacular diving catch to end the sixth and save two runs.
  • The Yankees bullpen threw 3.2 scoreless innings.
  • Jesus Montero went 0-for-4 with a HBP and a run scored in his debut.
A solid and somewhat surprising win for the Yanks who are now just a half-game back of the Sox in the division.
