Notes: Joe Girardi has been suspended for tonight's game because of last night's very entertaining argument with umpire Chris Guccione. Apparently they are saying he kicked dirt on Guccione when he kicked his cap. Major League Baseball is really starting to embarrass themselves with all these stupid suspensions. ... Felix Hernandez was supposed to start Saturday apparently will be skipped in the rotation. Carlos Silva will now start Saturday and Jarrod Washburn will start on Sunday. ... According to Peter Abraham, Wilson Betemit will start his rehab with Scranton tonight.

  1. With every screwy Girardi lineup, I'm liking the guy less and less.

  2. Damon is 3-for-20 against Bedard, so I can understand why he's sitting.

  3. Matsui may be a lil sloppy out there in left, but ive always loved his M.O. on his arm, the whole "Quick release and accuracy is just as good" thing is pretty true... now hes just gotta size up those flys a lil more, get this guy on a handball court, that should help.

  4. His arm has never bothered me, but it seems that he's gotten worse and worse every year tracking fly balls.

  5. Well as with anything with Matsui, fielding and hitting, when hes performing well he looks flawless, but when he fails, he fails bad and looks awful doing it. Some of his K's are hard to watch sometimes.

  6. That's true, but I don't consider him anything close to a good outfielder. He is a very good hitter, pretty underrated if you ask me.

His average full season as a Yankee is .295, 24 HR, 108 RBI, with an OBP of .371.
