Stick around and discuss the game
as it happens in the comments section.
Where is Matsui? Why does Girardi constantly switch up the order every damn day?
ReplyDeletegreat start Andy
ReplyDeleteDown two with a runner on 2nd with nobody out in the 1st and you bunt? What is Jeter doing?
ReplyDeleteI don't get it either.
ReplyDeletePettitte sucks.
ReplyDeleteThis team needs a good performance and this is what he gives them, and now they're gonna lose a second straight to the Royals. This team is done.
They still have a shot at the wild card, if Ortiz comes back to the Sox this or next month, then the division is over. (The Sox will probably win without him).I never really liked our chances this year. Preseason I said we wouldn't make the playoffs, but finishing 3rd or 4th is unacceptable.
ReplyDeleteYea they have a "shot," but come on, they're awful.
ReplyDeleteAlright, nice little rally here...
ReplyDeleteTie game! Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteWow I can't believe they tied it. They looked completely dead.
ReplyDeleteAw sh*t Meacham strikes again.
ReplyDeleteand then it ends when Jeter cant get Cabrera in, he should have stayed, not deep enough and Guillen has a gun.
ReplyDeleteMeacham needs to go, he's worse than send em' home Sojo.
ReplyDeletehas anyone else noticed that Jeter kills alot of rallies, w/ DP'S and K's. I guess he stands out because I always expect him to come through.
ReplyDeleteHe led the team in DPs last year, so yes I've noticed it.
ReplyDeleteyeah if we still had Bowa we'd probably have 3 or 4 more wins, maybe more because of Bowa's effect on Cano.- Pettitte is settling in.
ReplyDeleteBowa was a great 3rd base coach, aggressive, but smart. Unlike Meacham who is mindlessly aggressive.
ReplyDeleteTHE GIAMBINO STRIKES AGAIN !!!
Is Giambi on roids again?!? Whatever it is I like it, that was another moon shot.
ReplyDeleteI really, really hope not, but I can't say I haven't thought about that possibility.
ReplyDeleteYou cant honestly think that with the rigorous testing done, ESPECIALLY in giambis case, with a minimum 3 tests a year, theres no way he can bang out enough cycles and get clean in the amount of time that would actually help your performance, so come on guys.
ReplyDeleteThe issue (and the era) is done.
You can't test for HGH yet.
ReplyDeleteof course! I knew that was going to happen!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand how you leave him in to face Guillen. I know the pen isn't great, but he was at 110 pitches, he already gave up a bomb to him. I just don't get it. Girardi is the real Clueless Joe.
ReplyDeleteWow. That is gonna ruin my day. I had a feeling the outcome of that atbat was gonna make or break girardi and pettitte in this game.. and on a 2-2 pitch its all over.
ReplyDeleteIm gonna go to the beer garden in astoria cause its a gorgeous day for commiserating with beautiful women and drinking heavily. Any takers?
Greg,
ReplyDeleteWell if you wanna get technical, Anon was talking about 'Roids, and we all know now Roids are not the same as HGH... ;) haha.
Enjoy the beer, and ladies.
ReplyDeleteok about the roids, I wasn't serious. There's no way he would be able to get away with using them again. I was just suprised about this power surge. Maybe he likes the hot weather.
ReplyDeleteAND... every doctor who prescibed forms of HGH and companies that have distributed it have all been documented, you cant test for it, but you can track the shipping, haha.
ReplyDeleteIm just glad thats not something that will ever come up again. fingers crossed.
now THAT's the homer he shouldve hit off Davies for 5 hondo... haha
ReplyDeleteWow, what a shot!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely horrible outing by andy, I thought he knew how to pitch, He should be embarrased by that performance against the royals, no less.
ReplyDeletePinch hit Matsui for Betemit!
ReplyDeleteYEA JOHNNY!!!!
ReplyDeleteAND WE ARE TIED!!!
NEVER woulda seen that coming. Wow.
ReplyDeleteUnreal.
ReplyDeleteThe fight back from 4 down twice to have Mo give that up.
Cant blame anyone, kid got a hold of one.
ReplyDelete"He Be-it me... Stray-Tup... Pay dat Me-an hes me-oney.."
Any guessers? haha
Time for Morgan Ensberg's Thoughts From The Couch:
ReplyDelete"It's so hot.... (looks down at his glass)
.. Milk was a bad choice."
HOLY SHIT JORGE TIED IT!
ReplyDeleteIs this game really happening?
FUCKIN RIGHT MOTHER FUCKER!!!! One pitch on Mo... you get One pitch on Soria mother fucker! There can be only ONE....
ReplyDeleteyep!
ReplyDeleteyou see Abreu's reaction? Looks like he wanted to lose and get it over with.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable.
ReplyDeleteYea I don't understand that reaction either, or Melky's.
ReplyDeleteCant put in Matsui here, cause youd have to take Giambi out of the game or double switch, only alternative is Shelley. But Betemit is battin lefty, Ill keep that.
ReplyDeletelets go Damon, goin for the 6 pack.
ReplyDeleteYES!!!!!!!!!!! GO JOHNNY GO!!! BIG JOHN!!!
ReplyDeleteLETS DRINK SIX FOR JOHNNY!!!!
ReplyDeleteDAMON DOES IT !!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW
WHAT A HEART ATTACK OF A GAME.
