Giese Optioned To AAA

According to Peter Abraham right-handed reliever Dan Giese was optioned back to Triple-A Scranton to make room for Jorge Posada on the roster.

According to John Sterling, Joe Girardi said he will be back up very soon, maybe Sunday.

    Well sterling said last night that he talked to girardi and joe said that he sent him down for a few days because he needed to activate posada. the team will make a decision on who to bring back up. he said giese pitched 3 innings so they couldnt use him yet anyway, so by sunday he will be back up for good..
