  1. Nice way to get things stated Jeet!

  2. Yep, too bad Abreu couldn't do more with that 3-1 pitch... Let's see what the Material Girl can do here.

    ReplyDelete
  3. And of course he strikes out. 2 for his last 18 since the divorce was made public.

  4. That ball was very catchable, Abreu is awful.

    ReplyDelete
  5. ABREU YOU'RE A PUSSY!! THE WALL WONT KILL YOU.

    ReplyDelete
  6. rasner sucks. time to try out someone else.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Rasner should never start at the major league level again. In fact, with all the arms the Yankees have in AA and AAA he should just be released.

Abreu is a joke of an outfielder. Does he know the walls are padded?

  8. why do the Yankees baby the guys the have in the minors so much? Get them up here! Rasner has nothing great, just average to below average pitches. Someone has to be ready to come up, grow a pair of nuts Cashman, if they suck send them back down.

  9. I really don't know why they do that. Aceves was hurt and only threw 3 innings in his first start in AAA, he's probably two starts away. But Daniel McCutchen has been great in AAA lately, and probably could start in the majors right now.

  10. o boy! i sense a possible sweep. looks like they just want the weekend to be over so the can have there all star break.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Wow, Abreu is just running a clinic on how NOT to play the outfield today.

Another stinking loss in the making.

    ReplyDelete
  12. anyone else sick of Abreu, Greg probably. I know he works the count and gets clutch hits here and there, but he's horrible in the field and he is no longer the hitter he once was. Any ideas on who they could have in right field next year?

  13. i dont know if its a sign from above or not but my mom's dog just ripped apart a blue jay in the backyard. blue feathers flying all over. if we could somehow find a way to channel that same aggression into the yankees offense we will be in good shape.

  14. I'm sick of Abreu being a bitch. He has to understand that the walls are padded and sliding/diving for balls is part of being a good outfielder.

He's also hitting around .225 since he hit that line drive off Blackburn's head in Minnesota, and after seeing how shaken up Abreu was after it happened, I do think it has effected his play. Blackburn is fine, move the f*** on, and get over it.

Right field next year? Damon will be in left, Melky in center, maybe Gardner if he shows he can hit, A-Jax if he can get to AAA this year. Not sure who the free agent class consists of.

  15. OK, bases loaded one out, down 3.

    Can they do anything?

    ReplyDelete
  16. you know my mom's dog made that happen....woof

    ReplyDelete
  17. For the love of God Jeet hit the ball in the air.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Well he did his best to roll into yet another DP, but luckily Scutaro couldn't make the play. It had to be your mom's dog again.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Abreu's putting on a clinic, and its only the second inning

    ReplyDelete
  20. YES ALEX! Thank you, big f***ing hit.

    ReplyDelete
  21. we may set a new mark with comments, mid 20's in the middle of the 2nd inning, wow.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I see a slugfest brewing! Just keep putting up runs boys.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yea, definitely a new record for two innings. Usually don't get this many in a full game. Thanks guys, keep it up!

This could be one of those 14-11 type games.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Robbie's gotta make that play.

Now the umps screw the Yanks once again.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Can these umps go back to umpiring school or something? They've been so bad this year it's ridiculous. Not only for the Yankees, but for all teams. They can't seem to get a close-call right this year.

  29. hahahaha I thought you were just joking around.

    ReplyDelete
  30. nice, give that dog a treat.

    ReplyDelete
  31. yeah Brett! I can see he will be a clutch player throughout his career.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Well he's 4-for-9 with RISP now, so you might be right.

    ReplyDelete
  33. this game might be more than 14-11. We may approach 20 runs.

    ReplyDelete
  34. o wait a lefty long reliever, he'll probably throw 5 innings of no hit ball. Abreu has made 3 of the 9 outs, the second spot has not worked so far.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Maybe I wasn't so crazy for suggesting to possibly move him down in the order.

    ReplyDelete
  36. yeah, some people were flipping out after you said that. I didnt. I would be up for Giambi hitting 3rd and Abreu 5th, just an idea.

    ReplyDelete
  37. yeeeeah a-rod!!! my brotha from anotha motha!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Looks like he may be coming out of his divorce slump.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Get Rasner out of this game. He's a bad pitch away from letting the Jays back in this game. Girardi has to stop caring about getting his starters the win. Get the team the win.

    ReplyDelete
  40. damn 41 comments already? thats what i get for mixing vodka and vitamin water last night (had no other chasers, had to make due). haha.

All around good wake up for these bats, but of course now that we win the rays n sox will win today. Damn it wouldve been nice to gain ground the last two days.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yea, everyone's very talkative today, plus Godriguez's mom's dog killed a blue jay.

Very good to see this team hitting, hopefully they can continue to hit tomorrow and after the break.

    ReplyDelete
  42. a side note: Brian Fuentes says he prefers to play for the Yankees ( if traded).- Nice play Overbay.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Savage, savage dog you got there, Im gonna vote he be put down, for fear of the blue jay community.

    J/K, haha. Good work pup.

Ya know, if David Wright can be added to the All-Star team to replace Soriano(who im glad is still coming to the stadium to see his fans), why isnt Jermaine Dye (or preferably The Big G) being added as a replacement for Ortiz? Is it cause hes a DH and its an easy fix?

    Shenanigans! Shenanigans! Get your brooms!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I was wondering that myself Derek. I'm not sure what they're doing to replace him.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nice! I see they got rid of the Douchebag on the business report! Excellent work Fox.

PS- Fuck Brian Fuentes, Bruney's close to coming back, and with Edwar, Robertson, Veras, Farnsy n Mo, I think we have the pen covered quite well. Tho ill still take Marte for lefties :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. That idiot was so annoying.

I don't really want Fuentes either, I don't think they need him right now, especially for what he would probably cost. If we could literally steal him for the Rockies, then I'd go for it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. good, now win tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yes, gotta go into the break on a high note.

Thanks for all the comments today people!
