Stick around and discuss the game

as it happens in the comments section.

  1. Why does this moron continue to bat Giambi 5th? He stinks with RISP. Nady and Giambi should flip-flop, the right lefty thing hasn't been working anyway.

  2. Nicely done fellas, 3 up, 3 down, on 3 strikeouts. Fantastic start.

    ReplyDelete
  3. And the Royals take the lead 1-0.

FUCKING SHIT I HATE THIS TEAM.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Seriously the Yankees are going to need a miracle to catch Boston so I wouldn't get too emotional about this team until they get back in it. That is, IF they get back into it.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Oh well, no harm done.

Maybe they can actually get a hit this inning.

    ReplyDelete
  6. What the hell was that?

  7. Nice at-bat Alex. We can always count on you.

    ReplyDelete
  8. You saw that coming a mile away... this team makes me want to break something.

  9. Everyone in this organization should be fired. They are the laughing stock of baseball. Arod will go down as the worst signing in MLB history. He is NOT a good baseball player. He's a choke artist like Mariano, Giambi.

Arod and Giambi are killing this team. Arod should not be batting 4th. Giambi should not be batting 5th.

Oh well some people never learn. Its called PRIDE GOETH BEFORE DESTRUCTION AND An HAUGHTY SPIRIT BEFORE A FALL.

  10. anonymous, Your hatred for Mariano is insanely stupid. Yes, he's struggled in non-save situations this year, but he's been a rock on this team. You would sound a lot more intelligent if you left him out of your rants.

  11. Damn it Johnny hit the damn ball on the ground. This is why they lose these games.

    ReplyDelete
  12. And they waste a leadoff double... it just gets worse and worse.

    ReplyDelete
  13. im having a tough time believing we are actually this bad. imagine if we never played those NL teams we swept( Padres, Astors) and the Mariners. whats our record if we take out those wins? 52-58? and if we take out the A's we're 47-57. we suck vs basically everyone we play. we have no hope this year. everyday we lose a game on the sox and rays. we're done. next year has to be better.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm having a hard time believing it myself. I know we will never know the answer to this, but I really wonder how this team would be playing if Joe Torre was the manager. I really don't think Yankees fans and the front office realized what he did for this team.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ponson pitched well, can't ask for much more.

    ReplyDelete
  16. And, you're love for him shows how clueless and insane you are.

What has Mariano done since 2000, other than choke? Nothing. YOu're just another news media educated idiot that can't think. You erect straw man arguments then argue against your straw man. Simple. The media are nothing but propaganda, apartheid preaching snake oil salesman.

    ReplyDelete
  17. You're an idiot. He's the best closer in the game, period.

    - J.C.

  18. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, yes another loser. GIDP. This team and organization are full of born losers.

And, yes we miss Joe Torre. The coach that hadn't one a playoff series in how long? Torre and Cashman were given great teams, with great players and ran them into the ground. We are seeing the culmination of that today. It is called science. It is called reaping and sowing. You plant seeds years ago and the harvest is here. The problem is this harvest is rotten and doesn't provide fruit worth a darn.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It is tied. Hurrry up Joe and bring Mariano so he can blow it AGAIN!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Coaches, or managers in this case, don't win playoff series, players do. Managers get you there, there isn't much to do once you get there besides tell your boys to go do the same things that got them there.

It wasn't Torre's fault Wang stuck up the field twice last year.

You really should go look at some of the pitching staffs (including bullpens) that this team had from 04-07. They were not good staffs at all.

    ReplyDelete
  21. And Torre's teams had a ton of injuries too, they just didn't need to use them as an excuse for missing the postseason, because they didn't miss the postseason.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Way to go Johnny. Stupid Red Sock.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh yea the big Johny Damon, the yankees best hitter with RISP, isn't that correct Michael Kay? What did he do there AGAIN? Nothing.

Absolutely pathetic the yankees need 3 errors to score a WHOLE 2 runs. Watch out division leaders Arod, Giambi, Girardi, Cashman and Mariano are coming for ya!

    ReplyDelete
  24. the last time the royals were here, in june, mariano gave up the tie in 2 of those games. so thats 3 in the 4 games this year. dont bring him in if its tied! we need a run now boys, if you want to win.

    ReplyDelete
  25. see joe you can use someone other than mo in that situation

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hit and run? Just bunt the damn ball, what the hell is Girardi doing?

    ReplyDelete
  27. At least Gardner's eye saved him. Now bunt with Damon.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't care what happens, Girardi should have Damon bunting here. I don't get this at all.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Is Girardi retarded?

    ReplyDelete
  30. good job damon. noone is clutch on this team. even if someone does get a walk off hit today.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Captain Double Play strikes again. How you don't bunt with Damon there is mind-boggling. I'm really shocked right now at how Girardi "managed" that inning.

    ReplyDelete
  32. girardi does basically everything wrong. ive missed torre since day 1.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hey whatta you know? Mo pitched a scoreless inning in a tie game. NICE!

    ReplyDelete
  34. joe girardi should be shot after these horrendous decisions...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hahahaha, he should at least be fired.

    ReplyDelete
  36. This freaking game should be over already. Damn it, what the hell was Girardi thinking? I'm still dumbfounded.

    ReplyDelete
  37. This umpire is as bad as I've seen all year, and the umps have been pretty brutal all year.

    - J.C.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yep, that ball was clearly outside.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm calling a Jeter walk-off...

Unless Damon gets on, then he'll hit into a DP.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, at least he got a hit. Come on Bobby.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Fucking A-Rod chokes again.
