That's a lot of tickets going to season ticket holders, which doesn't leave much for the single game ticket buyers out there.Yankees spokesman Jason Zillo said about two weeks ago that the team had sold the equivalent of 39,393 season tickets for the roughly 52,000-capacity ballpark.
... In other stadium news, the cost to replace the parks that were taken over by the new Yankee Stadium has skyrocketed. In the last four years it's gone from $116 million to $195 million. That should make city officials and the tax payers happy.
The increase in cost is being blamed "on revised designs, additions to the projects, unanticipated hazardous-waste cleanup, and construction-work price overruns and delays."
yup, still waiting for my 41 game plan assignment. I hope that it is figured into one of those season ticket equivalents
ReplyDeleteThats a ton of season tickets. Going to be hard getting individual game tickets.
ReplyDeleteStill waiting for my partial saturday plan as well if they have not gotten to the 41 game people yet this is a bit scary.
ReplyDeleteI called about a Sunday plan today. The office said they had no idea when they would be opening up to partials...I figure the only way to get in this year might be season tix.
ReplyDeleteWell HOLY DOG SHIT!

We have begun assigning and mailing 41-Game Plan assignments (1/29/09).
It's about time.
ReplyDeleteI read in a forum that the ticket office network was down, but its probably bullshit. I work in an IT department and I use that excuse all the time to get out of doing work. JK
