News & Notes

- According to hitting coach Kevin Long, Alex Rodriguez has begun lifting weights. This is very good, and another sign that Alex is moving along with his rehab a lot quicker than anticipated.

- The Yankees have posted a new picture gallery of the new stadium. You can check out the pics here. I'd post them myself, but I don't feel like being sued.

- Also new stadium related, NJ.com has posted this great slideshow of pics of the new stadium.

- It was announced today that Audi is now the official luxury vehicle of the New York Yankees.

The new relationship also includes the naming of the Audi Yankees Club, an exclusive viewing location and membership restaurant, located on the H&R Block Suite Level in left field. The sponsorship begins with the opening of Yankee Stadium and extends through the 2011 season.

Financial terms were not released.

So on that note this game thread is now the Audi Spring Training Game 28 Game Thread.

Stick around and discuss the game

    ReplyDelete
  5. Greg even though hes on the decline i would take a shitty Jeter over anyone anyday i dont care who it is

    ReplyDelete
  6. You mean to tell me if the Yankees could have Jimmy Rollins or Hanley Ramirez instead of Jeter you'd say no. If so, why?

    ReplyDelete
  7. And let me say, Jeter is one of my favorite players ever, but at this point in his career there are clearly better players at his position.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Cant wait for the season to start and head to the stadium a few times dis year im so exited.

  52. Does CC Sabathia sound like "sissy" to you? I think not.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Come on MO, show what you got.

Man, Obama is being thrown a lot of tough questions.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Well no, the guy looks fat to me.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'm just joking with you Greg, Thanks for the nickname, this is the second nickname I have now.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Mo with another easy inning, the guy is so great it's freaking retarded.

    I know Liam, it's cool.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Hey guys! I just got back from my baseball practice.

    Red Sox 1, Yankees 1,
    Bottom Of The 7th

Mo just pitched a 1-2-3 inning.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hey Yankeeboy, how's it going dude?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Nothing much guys. I crushed a 3-run homer in a scrimmage my team played. The half of the team I was on won 9-4.

I know, practice ran a little late Liam, sorry. But I'm here now "CC" and I'm here to stay (until 10:30).

    ReplyDelete
  64. Good for you YankeeBoy, nice job.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  69. come back before the game is over liam!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'll be in the left field bleachers for opening day.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I'll be about 10 rows behind the Yankee dugout. But, I'm a baseball fan, not one of those snotty rich people who buy these seats just because they can. I was offered these seats and I took them in a heartbeat.

    ReplyDelete
  72. You know, this is the first game this spring that I really want this team to win. Come on boys!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Which game are you going to Yankeeboy?

    ReplyDelete
  74. I know. It's amazing how close we are to the start of the season. Spring Training is winding down, Joe announced the Opening Day starter, and the new Yankee Stadium is just days from opening.

    ReplyDelete
  75. i really can't wait to get to the new digs. ya'll are going way before me, and i envy you two! lol

    ReplyDelete
  76. Don't worry Bentton, you'll get there.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Uh oh. Runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out, top of the 8th, Marte pitching.

    ReplyDelete
  78. that was a lucky play! phew!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  79. They got out of it. (Sort Of)

They got two outs because they caught the runner on 3rd in a pickle.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Now they're out of it. Good job by Edwar.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yeah, Edwar actually looked pretty good.

After this game, I can't see how Melky can win the CF job.

    ReplyDelete
  82. LOL you changed your account name.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Way to hit YankeeBoy!!!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Hey Dan, welcome to the conversation.

That's a nice bunt by Pena, and a hilarious play by the Red Sox.

    ReplyDelete
  85. And the Yankees lead 2-1.

    Nice job Angel.

    ReplyDelete
  86. welcome back "cc" lol
    2-1 yanks!

greg, do u know when your gonna get any new stadium pics for the site?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Totally clutch hit from Berroa.

    ReplyDelete
  88. CC,

    You mean the home run?

P.S. Yanks take the lead! 2-1 RBI by Berroa. He should win a spot on the bench, maybe even splitting the duties at 3rd with Ransom.

    ReplyDelete
  89. The Stadium has to be done by next week!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Hopefully I'll have an update up sometime this weekend.

But I must ask you guys, are you still gonna come by after the stadium is complete?
