News & Notes
- According to hitting coach Kevin Long, Alex Rodriguez has begun lifting weights. This is very good, and another sign that Alex is moving along with his rehab a lot quicker than anticipated.
- The Yankees have posted a new picture gallery of the new stadium. You can check out the pics here. I'd post them myself, but I don't feel like being sued.
- Also new stadium related, NJ.com has posted this great slideshow of pics of the new stadium.
- It was announced today that Audi is now the official luxury vehicle of the New York Yankees.
So on that note this game thread is now the Audi Spring Training Game 28 Game Thread. The new relationship also includes the naming of the Audi Yankees Club, an exclusive viewing location and membership restaurant, located on the H&R Block Suite Level in left field. The sponsorship begins with the opening of Yankee Stadium and extends through the 2011 season.
Financial terms were not released.

Stick around and discuss the game
as it happens in the comments section.
JETER IS BACK!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, hopefully he can reach a ball hit up the middle.... Sorry I had to.
ReplyDeleteThe stadium is sweeeeeeeeeeet
ReplyDeleteTook a tour today, place is unreal. Its like a Vegas hotel minus the cheesiness. New Stadium as absolutely magnificent.
ReplyDeleteGreg even though hes on the decline i would take a shitty Jeter over anyone anyday i dont care who it is
ReplyDeleteYou mean to tell me if the Yankees could have Jimmy Rollins or Hanley Ramirez instead of Jeter you'd say no. If so, why?
ReplyDeleteAnd let me say, Jeter is one of my favorite players ever, but at this point in his career there are clearly better players at his position.
ReplyDeleteCant wait for the season to start and head to the stadium a few times dis year im so exited.
ReplyDeleteAnon,
ReplyDeleteGet any pics?
Maybe you should hit lefty Mark.
ReplyDeletesorry i'm late, what's up guys!

ReplyDeleteYeah Burnett really has looked great. I wonder if he can take the same energy to the mound that he brought the to mound against the Yankees last year. Because if he can't he may win 20 games.
ReplyDeleteand we really need that, at least to get past boston and tampa bay

ReplyDeleteBentton,
I was lucky enough to get some bleacher seats for opening day so I'll be there then. I hope I like the place.
Nothing much!!! Well, theres something. I have baseball tryouts next week, so I go outside around saturday and throw, I felt stiffness on my throwing arm. I went from 83 to 65. But today I feel better.

ReplyDeleteHe had a nice game, just ran out of gas.
ReplyDeleteI'm not watching the game so you guys might have to keep me updated.
ReplyDeleteyeah, it was a good game for him. i can't believe were in the 6th already.
ReplyDeleteliam, aj pitched into the 6th. got into a jam with the bases loaded, and gave up a run by a single from david oriz.
Yea Bentton, the game is flying by.
ReplyDeleteThats ok, it's only spring training.
ReplyDeleteThat dude can freaking fly. Good job Brett.
ReplyDeleteBrett can run, to bad i'm a slow bastard.

ReplyDeleteLike I said Liam, you are a conversation catalyst.
ReplyDeleteI may call you CC from now on. Hopefully Sabathia doesn't get pissed.
ReplyDeletelmfao......
ReplyDeletewakefield's out the game!
Yes, who are you calling CC Greg?
ReplyDeleteYou Liam, because you are the Conversation Catalyst.
ReplyDeletemo's in!
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA!!! But CC? It sounds like sissy to me.
ReplyDeleteDoes CC Sabathia sound like "sissy" to you? I think not.
ReplyDeleteCome on MO, show what you got.
ReplyDeleteMan, Obama is being thrown a lot of tough questions.
Well no, the guy looks fat to me.
ReplyDeleteI'm just joking with you Greg, Thanks for the nickname, this is the second nickname I have now.
ReplyDeleteMo with another easy inning, the guy is so great it's freaking retarded.
ReplyDeleteI know Liam, it's cool.
Hey guys! I just got back from my baseball practice.
ReplyDeleteRed Sox 1, Yankees 1,
Bottom Of The 7th
Mo just pitched a 1-2-3 inning.
Hey Yankeeboy, how's it going dude?
ReplyDeleteAnybody watching Obama? I'm flipping back and forth between innings.

Good for you YankeeBoy, nice job.

ReplyDeleteVery funny Yankeeboy. But i'm about to leave. My brother is kicking me off my laptop for a minute or two
ReplyDeleteYou're going Greg?
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should meet up. (Just kidding of course, LOL!)
ReplyDeletecome back before the game is over liam!
ReplyDeleteI'll be in the left field bleachers for opening day.
ReplyDeleteI'll be about 10 rows behind the Yankee dugout. But, I'm a baseball fan, not one of those snotty rich people who buy these seats just because they can. I was offered these seats and I took them in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteYou know, this is the first game this spring that I really want this team to win. Come on boys!
ReplyDeleteWhich game are you going to Yankeeboy?
ReplyDeleteI know. It's amazing how close we are to the start of the season. Spring Training is winding down, Joe announced the Opening Day starter, and the new Yankee Stadium is just days from opening.
ReplyDeletei really can't wait to get to the new digs. ya'll are going way before me, and i envy you two! lol
ReplyDeleteGreg,
ReplyDeleteThe first one April 3rd.
Don't worry Bentton, you'll get there.
ReplyDeleteUh oh. Runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out, top of the 8th, Marte pitching.
ReplyDeletethat was a lucky play! phew!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey got out of it. (Sort Of)
ReplyDeleteThey got two outs because they caught the runner on 3rd in a pickle.
Now they're out of it. Good job by Edwar.
ReplyDeleteI'm Back.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Edwar actually looked pretty good.
ReplyDeleteAfter this game, I can't see how Melky can win the CF job.
LOL you changed your account name.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha, nice!
ReplyDeleteWay to hit YankeeBoy!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Dan, welcome to the conversation.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice bunt by Pena, and a hilarious play by the Red Sox.

ReplyDeleteAnd the Yankees lead 2-1.
ReplyDeleteNice job Angel.

ReplyDelete2-1 yanks!
greg, do u know when your gonna get any new stadium pics for the site?
Totally clutch hit from Berroa.
ReplyDeleteCC,
ReplyDeleteYou mean the home run?
P.S. Yanks take the lead! 2-1 RBI by Berroa. He should win a spot on the bench, maybe even splitting the duties at 3rd with Ransom.
The Stadium has to be done by next week!
ReplyDeleteHopefully I'll have an update up sometime this weekend.
ReplyDeleteBut I must ask you guys, are you still gonna come by after the stadium is complete?
Getting close to the record Greg! 109 comments, 5 to go!
