News & Notes
- On Joel Sherman's Hardball blog he mentioned that Joe Girardi would look to get Nick Swisher three starts a week, plus he'd have him pinch-hit as well.
- Will Carroll mentioned on his Twitter page that Alex Rodriguez has begun hitting off a tee. He also believes he will return to the Yankees before the May 15th date they've been mentioning.
- Not Yankee related, but Jonathan Papelbon continues to prove how much of a punk he is. This time by complaining about the Red Sox opening day ceremony.

ReplyDeleteNice man. I gave the lineups to yankeeboy just now.
ReplyDeletePonson will get killed today. I feel it in my bones. 13-5 yankees!
ReplyDeleteYea i have that feeling like were gonna kick ponson ass today.
ReplyDeleteI think Melky should have a start today. Everyone but him has played.
ReplyDeleteyea i noticed that.
ReplyDeleteCashman Convinced Hal On Teixeira
ReplyDeleteKat O'Brien of Newsday writes today about the Yankees' pursuit of Mark Teixeira. In talking to Brian Cashman, O'Brien learned that the GM's persistence finally led to the go-ahead from Hal Steinbrenner; for much of the offseason, Tex wasn't an option. At the time of Cashman's December meeting with Teixeira and Scott Boras, the Yankees were not expecting to sign the slugger. According to Cashman:
"When I met with him, I was doing it more to get leverage on CC. We weren't playing possum on purpose. We were actually out of it."
Cashman was able to convince Hal with this pitch regarding the Red Sox:
"I know you're not interested, but they're going to get this guy. He's going to fall in their lap, and he's so perfect for us."
Thank u MLB trade rumors
i read that like an hour ago.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was kinda intresting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the lineups guys
ReplyDeleteI like how Joe said he plans to start Swish in RF 3 times a week. I think that's awesome.
ReplyDeletePapelbon's a bitch. That's all. :)
ReplyDeleteIs it tea time?
ReplyDeleteI love rounders!
ReplyDeleteBravely bold Sir Sidney rode forth from Kansas City. He was not afraid to die, oh brave Sir Sidney. He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways, brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Sidney. He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp, or to have his eyes gouged out, and his elbows broken. To have his kneecaps split, and his body burned away, and his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Sidney. His head smashed in and heart cut out, and his liver removed, and his bowels unplugged, and his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off and his penis...
ReplyDeletehahaha, KC fans even booed Farnsworth. Everyone hates him!
ReplyDeleteso is this how its going to be, the Yankees start winning and the chatter dries up?
ReplyDeleteHahahaha great stuff Will... I just got back home. Had to watch the first part of the game in a bar.
ReplyDeleteBunt time...
ReplyDeleteBBR Ransom
ReplyDeleteYup, terrible.
ReplyDeleteMatsui looks like shit.
ReplyDeleteYup, he sure does.
ReplyDeleteGreg can you see if you can allow IMG tags in comments?
ReplyDeleteI don't think it works.
ReplyDeleteCome on Brett, don't be afraid of the wall. That ball almost hit you in the head.
ReplyDeleteah how interesting, blogger doesn't seem to have an option to allow even img tags. the queen is not pleased.
ReplyDeleteI really like Royols ballpark a lot. And its a nice day there. Too bad it's cold.
ReplyDeleteNice pic Will.
ReplyDeleteYou can post a link to an image. Besides that blogger doesn't let commenters do much.
ReplyDeleteYea Liam, the renovations to Kauffman look really nice.
ReplyDeleteI gotta go.
ReplyDeleteAight, later Liam.
ReplyDeleteIm listening to Waldman and Sterling, I think my ears are starting to bleed. Why do the Yankees have some of the worst announcers in sports.
ReplyDeleteI wonder that myself, Will.
ReplyDeleteSix strong from Andy. Great job so far. .... YES! Here comes Kyle!
ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeleteBut of course he's going to be dominant against us.
ReplyDeleteIve been wondering if it would be possible to do a rogue online Yankee broadcast - maybe calling the game by watching YES. Set up a server in China or something. I wish I had time or cared that much to do it every night. Would be easier to do with football.
ReplyDeleteLike a radio broadcast online?
ReplyDeleteWow, he strikes out the fucking side. ROFLMAO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteyah
ReplyDeleteIs that even illegal?
ReplyDeletelegal you mean? nothing worth doing is legal. it would likely be a copyright violation, at least the yankees would certainly try to shut it down that way. but serving out of china makes it tough to stop.
ReplyDeleteIn Andy we Trust.. great job today.
ReplyDeleteYANKEES WIN, THAAAAA YANKEES WIN!!!!
