as it happens in the comments section.
It looks like the suns peeaking out i reall hope they play this game.Im so pissed at my sister i told her to order 2 tickets and ill receive them today and she totally forgot so now im stuck home. The bad thing about it these wer pretty good seats by the first base close to the dugout for a very cheap prcie.
ReplyDeleteas much as i wanna chat with you guys during the game, i'm gonna be in my basement watching it in hd. but i'll try and get up here to chat with you guys! if not, i'll get at ya'll for postgame.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited!
ReplyDeleteNice, they did Roll Call.
ReplyDeletei hope they can get a different camera angle from behind home plate.. the net is in the way for every play...
ReplyDeletewait, Kay just said Bob Sheppard is not retired..
ReplyDeleteYea Dan, that's the story the Yankees are going with. I dunno, at this point I don't think he's coming back.
ReplyDeleteThey've gotta do something about that net, on every groundball we're going to have to look through that thing all season?
ReplyDeleteLooks that way.
ReplyDeleteThe stadium looks great.
ReplyDeleteIt does look good, but it's weird. At least to me it is.
ReplyDeleteSame here. Seeing the pics that you just posted of the old one made me sad. I completly forgot what ever I did today.
ReplyDeleteWho had Cano is the first home run at the stadium poll?
ReplyDeleteI had Damon :o.
ReplyDeleteI can live with Cano, homegrown talent.
i think i may have picked him.. not sure. when he came up last inning i called him hitting a homer, and he did!..I think he's gonna have a Big year this year
ReplyDeletewadda ya know robbie canO. he drilled that
ReplyDeleteI wanted Posada.
ReplyDeleteMatsui goes yard!!!
ReplyDeleteI swear to God i called that one too!! From now on i'll just post it on here if im feeling another HR.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the lefties like the new short porch.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD ITS GODZILLA!!
ReplyDeleteYeah Greg, its only April and the ball is flying out to right.
ReplyDeleteI think the next homer will be a cub.
ReplyDeleteI'm embarassed. I just sneeze on my computer screen. I'm sick so... ya.
ReplyDeletenext will be Damon for Yanks.. Cubs next will be Bradley.. just a guess
ReplyDeleterain delay in Queens
ReplyDeleteBrett Gardner hitting the next homer.
ReplyDeleteThe Red Sox are there so there ruinning the game for the mets.
ReplyDeleteGAMES TIED
how many HR's would Barry Bonds cerca 2001 hit in this park.. 100?
ReplyDeletelooking at the radar, it looks like we should be rain free for the rest of the night, maybe some right now, but nothing after that for the rest of the game.
ReplyDeleteIt's starting to rain there.
ReplyDeleteits just alittle patch thats moving out quick..
ReplyDeleteDo you think Cano will go yard again?
ReplyDeleteToo bad Soriano isn't playing.
ReplyDeletei no, i thought he was. they said he was leading off in the pregame
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.. RANSOM!!
ReplyDeleteI was wrong.. but who cares? As long as we keep jackin em
ReplyDeleteThe balls have been jumping off the Yankees bats.
ReplyDeletegood way to open up the new stadium.. in 7 months we'll be WS Champs
ReplyDeletethat game was beautiful!
ReplyDeletejust came back from the game...the stadium is beautiful...the food are out in center field above the sports bar is the best...you can stand there and watch the game while eating and drinking...walking around the place is a joy...more spacious than the old stadium...i walked down to the field level and the view there is amazing...seeing the screen in pictures doesn't do it justice...it's enormous...great time..
ReplyDeleteJust got back from the game (had to go to NJ before I came home). Well I thought I would be safe from the rains with the roof over the grandstands, but to my surprise most of the seats in our section were wet when we came in. It appears that the driving rain comes through the open back wall and most of the seats will get wet anyway. Same for the concourse area on the third level - totally wet with the driving rain.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise the place looked great at night. They took the netting above monument park down for the game and draped it to try and block out the plagues. Another "tacky" feature! We'll see how it goes tomorrow for a day game and if the sun reflects off the glass in center.
Glad to hear you guys had a good time.
ReplyDeleteThe Hard Rock Cafe was jammed pack the whole night. The yankees are really going to cleanup.
ReplyDeleteThey also have an after hours bar which I think closes at 1AM
