Xavier Nady was down in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre playing in his second minor-league rehab game. He played the first five innings, but pulled himself out of the game after he felt something in his right elbow.
Here's a quote from Brian Cashman via Peter Abraham: “We don’t know what he did yet but it could be the worst-case scenario.”
We won't be seeing Nady anytime soon. With this latest setback I think he's likely headed for season-ending surgery. Bad break for the Yanks and Nady.
Could this organization be any more pathetic? They must have retards at every level.
ReplyDeleteUmmm, what? How is this the organizations fault?
ReplyDeleteThey should have shut him down to begin with and got the surgery. This is completely mishandled. They shopped him around to doctors looking for one who would tell them that rehab would work.. Eventually someone will tell them what they want to hear, just ask Reggie Lewis and the Celtics...
ReplyDeleteNo it isn't. He's a free agent after this year. The Yanks either could try getting him on the field this year or never have him on the field at all, they wisely chose the former.
ReplyDeleteReggie Lewis?
How was Nady's life in any jeopardy?
Dang. I hope it's just something minor.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Robert, but we'll see. It doesn't look good.
ReplyDeleteMark DeRosa front office?
ReplyDeleteNot a bad idea Anon.
ReplyDeleteJoe Girardi said on WFAN that he thinks he's done. Gut feeling. I would love DeRosa
