Yankee officials tell me zero chance on Halladay for same reason no Santana 2 yrs back: Combo of too many prospects/dollarsI wouldn't put the odds too high that they'd get him before I read this, this just confirms those feelings. As long as he's out of the division I'll be happy
Good.
ReplyDeleteI'm too much of a Hughes/Montero/Jackson fan to see them go.
Ya. Besides, we still have a good rotation even without Halladay.
ReplyDeleteI wanted Doc badly during the off-season, even more than CC. But now? We'd have to give up too much. As long as he goes to the Phillies or some other NL team, it'll be OK with me.
ReplyDeleteI never gave it much of a chance.
ReplyDeleteJust don't want to see anyone else in the division get him.
Same here She-Fan. Also, I saw your segment on Yankees Magazine. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI would trade Austin Jackson in the right deal. I dont think he is that great.
ReplyDeleteBut Chamberlain, Hughes, Melancon, Mcallister & Montero would be untouchables. I doubt Cashman would deal any of them he was reluctant to deal Ian Kennedy for Santana when we needed an ace. The yanks just spent 161 million on an ace.
If Wang is not healthy I could see yankees going after another starter at the deadline but not an ace. Maybe someone like an Erik Bedard.
Anon i was thinking the same thing if we cant get Halladay maybe we can Erik Bedard
ReplyDeleteHonestly I don't this team needs anyone else as long as Boston and/or Tampa don't make any major moves. I believe we are the best team in the AL!
