Michael Kay just announced during tonight's broadcast that the Yankees have acquired Chad Gaudin from the Padres for a player to be named later. In 20 games (19 starts) for the Padres he was 4-10 with a 5.13 ERA. In 105.1 innings he's allowed 60 ER on 105 hits, walked 56 (too many) and struck out 105.Not really sure how this helps, although he was a pretty solid reliever for the A's last year before going to the NL. He may be a better option than Mitre. Oh, and he's also gonna have to shave whatever that is growing from his chin.

ReplyDeleteHe dosn't throw hard either.
ReplyDeleteHe's still averaging a K an inning and he's only 26. I like it - seems like a better option than Mitre. He threw a 2-0 shutout against Texas during interleague play.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the move at all, and if the PTBNL isn't anyone good I'll like it even more.
ReplyDeletewhat the hell is that thing on his chin.
ReplyDeletelol I have no idea.
ReplyDeleteman i hope that player to be named later should be clagget damn he sucks.
ReplyDeleteI would send down Clagget and keep Gaudin up. You might need the extra pitcher this boston series.
ReplyDeleteThat's likely what will happen.
ReplyDeleteWho'd Cashman give up? Joba, Hughes and Montero......
ReplyDeletedoes this mean no more possibly interest in Garland? or any other pitcher that could get through waivers?
ReplyDeleteThis means Clagget is DFA'd.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they will still look at all potential deals. It wouldn't make sense if they didn't.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Brian Bannister will clear waivers for us. He would be an awesome pickup
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a turd of some sort on that chin....
ReplyDeleteMike
You think he went to the barber and asked for a "Brazilian waxing" on his chin?
