Pena Out For Year

According to Peter Abraham, Carlos Pena, who got hit on the hand in the 1st inning of today's game, has fractured the middle and index fingers on his left hand and has been placed on the 60-day DL, ending his season.

Tough break. This just about puts the nail in the coffin for the Rays' season.

  1. Tough break, but at least Teix has a shot to take the lead in homers.

  2. Tough luck for the rays. But if you are going to crowd the plate and lean in every pitch. Something like this will eventually happen. When a pitcher wants to bust him in.

  5. Thanks Liam. Just posted them.

I tried to put in the stats Greg usually does in the game threads, but I couldn't do it. So hopefully it's good enough.

  6. Tough break. But it really makes little difference in the races as the Rays were all but out of it anyway.
