Sherman: Yanks Really Want Granderson (Updated)

(UPDATED 4:17 p.m.) According to this Chicago Tribune article, the Yankees are supposedly close to making a deal not only for Granderson, but for starting pitcher Edwin Jackson as well. I'm not going to take this too seriously, but we do know they are in talks with the Tigers for these players.

Here's what Ed Price recently posted on his Twitter:
Tigers and Yankees are in talks on Granderson, but "lukewarm" cause Yanks so far won'tdeal prospect A.Jackson & Det wants CF in return.
This is why all this technology is actually bad for us. We get up to the second info, and in the end we know absolutely nothing.

One way or another, I don't want to see the Yankees give up AJax for Granderson.

...............

This comes from Joel Sherman's Twitter:
Club official from team interested in Tigers Granderson said thinks Yankees really want the CF.
Interesting... I'm not against the Yanks acquiring the center fielder, though his strikeout numbers bother me. Still, he's an upgrade over Melky, plus, maybe playing in the Bronx will help his swing.
