Yanks To Stick Hughes in Pen For Playoffs

From Marc Carig:
Roles in the Yankees’ bullpen have been defined for most of the season, and with the postseason looming, manager Joe Girardi has no reason to change things up now. Still, Hughes will be part of the Yankees’ relief corps in the first round of the playoffs, which begin on Friday.

“We already have a great bullpen, so I don’t expect to go out there and be a late-inning guy or anything like that,” said Hughes, who worked primarily out of the bullpen in 2009, though he has started ever since. “But if the situation calls for it, and they need a guy, then I’ll be ready to go.”
I guess a little extra bullpen depth can't hurt, but I don't really see him having any kind of significant role.
