You Suck

With the game tied in the top of the 14th inning, the Yankees decided to go with Scott Proctor. Predictably, he blew the game by allowing a single, a walk, and then two batters later, a three-run homer to Jacoby Ellsbury. To make matters worse, the Yankees still had Luis Ayala (among others) available in the pen. Honestly, I don't get the move at all. There really is never any good reason to use Proctor, especially in a game where you could have crushed the Red Sox spirits and season. Instead, they get their biggest win of the season. A win that will probably be enough to propel the Sox into the postseason.
