Jeter Takes BP, Fields Grounders

From Mark Feinsand:
Derek Jeter continued his road back from ankle surgery Wednesday, hitting on the field for the first time since March 23 and taking ground balls on the infield dirt at the Yankees' Tampa complex.

Jeter, who ran light sprints on Tuesday for the first time since his setback more than two weeks ago, did not speak with reporters after his workout.

Jeter ran from first-to-third on the grass just behind the infield, then reversed course and ran back to first. He repeated the exercise three times, though he was not running at full speed.
Good news, hopefully this means the May 1st target return date is somewhat realistic. Stay tuned...
