Notes: Brett Gardner makes his Major League debut tonight. He's got a ton of speed, walks a lot, and can cover a ton of ground in the outfield. I'm very interested to see how he does. ... To make room for Gardner on the roster Justin Christian was optioned to AAA. ... It was reported on the pre-game show that Chris Stewart was DFA’d to make room for Gardner on the 40-man roster. ... Joe Girardi said before the game the Hideki Matsui's knee has improved a lot over the last few days, and that he could start taking batting practice with the team in the next few days.

YES! The Brett Gardner era begins.
ReplyDeleteListening to the Michael Kay show and they were speaking about Brett. He says he's got an average arm and not much power but that if he's on base he'll definitely be running with Salty behind the plate tonight throwing out runners at a 12% clip. So let's see what Gardner shows us tonight.
ReplyDeleteI think Gardner will give this team a huge boost.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the bigs Brett, Cot damn he's quick.
ReplyDeleteThat is one fast dude.
ReplyDeleteNice pitching by Moose right there. Now can we please score some runs off this bum?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, why can't they hit this bum?
ReplyDeleteThis is ridiculous.
It amazes me that this team can fall into these kind of slumps offensively. They fall asleep for games at a time. This is a fucking disgrace.
ReplyDeleteWow, 95 MPH fastball off the cup...... Yikes! I'm in pain watching this.
ReplyDeleteWell top of the line up, if Gardner gets on he better steal 2nd and 3rd.
ReplyDeleteThis offense needs to wake up now.
ReplyDeleteDAN GIESE? IN A 1-RUN GAME IN THE 9TH?!?!?
ReplyDeleteI don't care if it worked out, that was a dumb move.
ReplyDeleteWow, Giese retired the side, in order. Now if only the Yanks could score a run or two here.
ReplyDeleteI really hate this fucking team. I watch every damn game and they continue to let me down, I'm fucking done. The only info I'm going to get about this team is going to come from this blog (and others). I'm not watching games anymore.
