Jeter to Return To Lineup Friday

Jeter said he would have had trouble playing yesterday on his sore foot, especially moving from side to side, but that he "good to go (Friday)."

"I'll play," Jeter said.

It's coming from Jeter and not Girardi so I guess we can believe it.
