ReplyDeleteI was just starting to read that stuff... very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI was just watching the Griffey home run last night and had a recurring thought, which is, Griffey was one of the greatest talents of the last two decades, and had one of the least spectacular careers of all time. I remember when he came up, he was envisioned as being one of the greatest players, and he is, except that his career meant nothing, as he chose to play it out of the lime light on teams that were almost never competitive. Nobody will like me saying this probably, but he really wasted his talent, he never challenged himself to play in a more competitive environment. He's the antithesis of someone like Kirk Gibson or Reggie Jackson or Mark Teixera. His numbers are great, but his career was completely meaningless.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Gardner's in there tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhy does it have to rain every single day during Yankees games?
ReplyDelete*UPDATE*
ReplyDeleteGame to start at 7:40. Just heard it on YES. CC is warming up.
Greg while were waiting here - you never gave a review of citifield
ReplyDeleteUm hello cc how about some outs
ReplyDeleteI didn't give a full review, but I did say that I liked a lot about the place. Good food, nice ballpark overall, fun to watch a game there, they have a great open-air food court in the upper deck. Nice place.
ReplyDeleteI missed the first two innings, what the hell is wrong with CC?
Oh and where is that moron anonymous poster? I want to see how he blames these three runs on Posada even though Cervelli is catching.
ReplyDeletegoing for the sweep, @ home, with your ace, & so far he's gotten hammered by a much lesser team thru only 2 innings, come on CC, plase, thats it, no more now, buckle down,
ReplyDeleteI blame Jorge for all three runs.
ReplyDeleteWell, duh. Obviously it's Jorge's fault.
ReplyDeleteJorge does everything wrong.
ReplyDeletehow long has it been sense ole TEX has hit a freaking HR, WTF, is he pressing what?
ReplyDeleteHe's in a bit of a funk, but it was bound to happen. There was no way he was gonna stay as hot as he was.
ReplyDeleteCome on Jeter.... backpedal...
ReplyDeleteTerrible game by Sabathia. The Mariners stink, this should have been an easy sweep.
ReplyDeletethis is total bullshit, the M's stink, boston is off tonight, could gain back that 1/2 game, better rally, who wants to step up?
ReplyDeleteTerrible play by Jeter which cost us runs because he is a liability if he has to move an inch. But, even worse play by Melky. He should have had that easily.
ReplyDeleteNo, its not PISSada's fault. But, maybe retardi should start someone else once in a while so they could play instead catering to a terrible catcher who allows 6 runs per 9 IP all because of a non-existent bat. No one can fault Cervelli he sits on the bench and doesn't play. What's PISSada's excuse?
The old men on this team are definitely a liability in the field.
Cervelli has started 1 game in every series except the one in Florida..
ReplyDeletethat would seem to count as "once in a while"...
Anon, how the hell are you going to blame Jeter for that? Unless he was 7 feet tall he's not catching that ball. Sabathia is pitching like crap, that's why they're losing. End of story.
ReplyDeleteMelky made a horrible play he should of caught that. Even Ichiro thought that was going to get caught. Melky is a good fielder but doesn't have the speed to play center. He would make a great right fielder especially with his arm. Put Gardner in center.
ReplyDeleteOK, that's fair. I do believe Melky should have caught that ball.
ReplyDeleteI love Ken Singleton, "langerhans has hit everything hard tonight" um are you blind, all of SEATTLE has hit CC hard tonight, CC forgot to eat his freaking wheaties,
ReplyDeleteThe guy has struck out seven times in a row, how the fuck do you walk him?
ReplyDeleteJust an overall crappy night for CC. It happens. I hate that walk, though. This next batter is pretty much the ballgame. They can come back from two, but I don't know if they can come back from four or five down again.
ReplyDeleteYEA ACEVES !!!! BIG STRIKE OUT.... LET'S TIE THIS!
ReplyDeleteWith Tex in a funk, why not flip/flop him & cano in the batting order, #3 Cano, #4 AROD, #5 Tex, for a game or a series, see what happens, but girardi could never think of something like that..
ReplyDeleteWhy would you take Tex out of the 3-hole?
ReplyDeleteThat makes absolutely no sense.
Hey Greg. How've you been? I just turned on the game... Seems like a good one if they can pull it out.
ReplyDeleteHey Jon, I've been good. How's stuff with you?
ReplyDeleteHopefully they can come back, but Seattle's bullpen is one of the best in the game. Stranding Matsui at second here is a killer.
I know, he got the inning off to a good start... bummer.
ReplyDeleteI've been good. I started a new job recently and have been busy, even working weekends and stuff. I barely get to see half of the games anymore. Have any plans for the fourth?
Way to redeem an error right away Johnny
ReplyDeletematsui & cano 4 hits, the rest of team 1 fucking hit, held in check by the vaunted Seattle pitching staff, OK JC, what would you suggest...
ReplyDeleteIf you needed any more of a sign they weren't winning this game that ball off A-Rod's bat was it. Oh well, three games out.
ReplyDeleteI'd suggest leaving Tex right where he is? Why move him? He's in a little slump, it's not like he's 0-25 or something. He was 2-4 last night.
ReplyDeleteThere's no reason to move him. None at all.
And now this piece of shit hits a two-run homer. Game Over.
ReplyDeleteAll of the Cervelli fan's out there can stop blaming Posada now.
ReplyDeleteHow the hell can they lose to the Seatle Mariners at home with CC going? And, without Boston playing its a perfect time to make up ground. But, nope, not with this bunch of overpaid, old men who have no drive or desire or energy whatsover. Absolutely pathetic. This is exactly why this team is exactly where they are and can't beat good teams. Good thing Cashman got Hinske.
ReplyDeleteAnon, find a tall building and jump off the roof.
ReplyDeleteIt's just upsetting...
ReplyDeleteWhy would Cervelli fans stop blaming POSada for his 6 ERA for 9 ip's? Because of one game? ROFLMAO. That's you stupid news mafia educated idiots who minor in the majors and major in the minors. You're worried about ONE game when Cervelli's good play doesn't get rewarded with anything (just like Pena's) but you're not worried about PISSada's terrible ERA allowed over the past 7 years. HA! Typical maroons.
ReplyDeleteStrain at a gnat and swallow a camel!
Boo hoo! It's a loss. If they Yankees can win 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 4 in every series they play they would have the best record in the MLB. Seattle isn't the worst team in the MLB. Their winning % is over .500
ReplyDeleteThey are still in a great position to win it all... very possible to at least make the playoffs for sure. I have faith that they will. It's just kinda fun to hate a-rod at this point.
ReplyDeleteThey won 2 of 3. I'll take it.
ReplyDelete0 Outs... here we go.
ReplyDeleteAnd, stick your head in a bucket of water 3 times and pull it out twice.
ReplyDeleteDont get mad at me cuz the $200m Cashman built Yankees can't beat a team that they should beat with their ace going while the Red Sux don't even play! You have the nerve to call this a winning team and blabber on about they have the 4th best record in baseball and if the season ended today they would make the playoffs.
Just face it this team needs improvement. And, Hinske is NOT the answer. Dumbass Cashman. What another stupid maroon. Learn how to build a team Cashwoman! If Cashman was half the GM you girls claim she is then this would be fixed.
I'm not mad at you because the Yankees are going to lose, I'm mad at you because you bother my readers.
ReplyDeleteHey Greg it would be cool if there was a refresh button on the chat window itself...
ReplyDeleteThis is a site for yankee FANS... Anon
ReplyDeleteThat would be cool, Jon. I just don't think blogger can do it.
ReplyDeleteAnon, it would be one thing if you EVER said anything positive about this team, but you don't. You're like the "Buzz Killington" of this blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry Anon you're right. A catcher with 4 world series rings and who caught a perfect game doesn't know how to catch but someone who came out of AA and played 23 games knows how to catch better. Some 13 year olds who don't have their mommies permission to post with a name doesn't know their facts.
ReplyDeleteJonny, right click on your mouse and click refresh. That's what I do.
ReplyDeleteI just looked up Buzz Killington on wikipedia...
ReplyDeleteThanks JC, I am actually using a laptop though..
ReplyDeletePathetic, 2 balls right down the middle to crush out of the stadium and he does noting with them. Then swings at ball 4. Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteOk, who will end it with a DP?
For those who do not know, Buzz Killington is a character in Family Guy - the greatest cartoon ever.
ReplyDeleteI would love for the yanks to win this one. That would upset anon...
ReplyDeleteF5 refreshes the page.
ReplyDeletelol me too Jon... but I don't think it's in the cards. What can you do? They've won seven in a row.
ReplyDeleteAh okay Greg. I do like South Park as much, but Family Guy rules too.
ReplyDelete7 is a lucky number...
ReplyDelete7 is a lucky number...
ReplyDeleteGN ALL...
ReplyDeleteI like Southpark too, but Family Guy is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteNight Jon.
ReplyDeleteCrapsui does nothing.
ReplyDeleteCrap-berra does nothing.
Piece of Shit ada priceless.
What an at-bat by POSada. Yup, you Posada lovers crack me up. Fuckign idiot swings at a pitch near his eyes and then doesn't swing at the one right down the plate in a PH situation for the game. Maroon! His .308 batting average is really helping us now.
I thought Hinske was traded for to help us off the bench and give us more options? Retardi decides to let the Piece of Shit ada PH instead. Great managing Retardi. I can't wait to see POSada in the 5th hole tomorrow doing the same thing.
The Office is good too. Family guy is the funniest probably...
ReplyDeleteSouth Park and Family Guy are both great.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite comedy of all-time, though, is Seinfeld.
You'd SERIOUSLY rather see Hinske hit over Posada? You for real?
ReplyDeleteSeinfeld is great... I like Flight of the Conchords too.
ReplyDeleteNo worries JC. Anon is crying on his mom's shoulder that Cervelli caught today's game and lost. But it's not Cervelli's fault they lost the game but if Posada caught today's game and lost it would be Posada's fault.
ReplyDeleteAnon, you idiot, Matsui hit a two-run homer and a double tonight.
ReplyDeleteGreg Cohen said...
ReplyDelete"Anon, find a tall building and jump off the roof."
He's so dumb he'd get lost on the way down. LOL
I love to read his posts because he's such an idiot but he thinks he's smart.
Plus I bet his "Retardi" comment must crack up all the 9 year olds. LOL
actually i agree with anon, i would've rather seen hinske than posada pinch hit as well...hinske is hitting .333 this season as a pinch hitter and posada is a .217 career pinch hitter
ReplyDeleteOh I missed these! LOL
ReplyDeleteCrapsui does nothing.
Crap-berra does nothing.
Piece of Shit ada priceless.
What cracks me up is that he must think that is clever. LOLOL
Seriously... you live in your parents basement, don't you Anon?
Anybody else goin to the game tomorrow? i'm buyin a teixecutioner shirt from Bald Vinny
ReplyDeleteNice, Rich. Enjoy the game.
ReplyDeleteYeah hopefully it ends with a W
ReplyDeleteExactly, you can't argue facts so you preach your apartheid. You worry about one game and not the other 50. LOL. News mafia public educated "men" who go by their feelings.
ReplyDeleteAnd, who cares what Matsui did earlier? What did he do when it mattered? He had 2 perfect pitches in the 9th to smack and he swung at ball 4. That's complete failure. The funniest part about it is you are applauding it because he had 2 hits earlier. Brilliant! You applaud failure and stupidity. Just like POSada.
What did POSada do again with his great hitting prowess that ALL you guys love? Nothing as usual. POSada is the biggest girl around.
And, the whole point was why did we get Hinske and send down Pena? So we could PH Posada who is supposedly hurt? LOL.
You guys would buy anything that's why you voted for Obama. ROFLMAO. Spend more money, raise taxes and put America on the brink of disaster. Way to go libtards.
On that Pena situation, I thought Pena was going down to the minor leagues to work on being a super-sub utility man and work in the outfield. Then why did he start at SS? LOL. Retards. Just like retardi and his perplexing moves. But, not as perplexing as Cashman's genius work as GM. He'll probably sign Aaron Boone next. You guys will applaud it like the Arabs applaud the fornicator Mohammed. You guys are prolly too busy watching every minute of the Michael "Mohammed" Jackson child molestor crap on TV. Because you, like the news media, go by your feelings.
And, nope I own a home, a business and I am married. Furthermore, I played HS baseball with Jeff Bagwell and Wakefield at FIT. ROFLMAO. While you idiots blabber about how good you are at softball.
thank god there aren't more people like you around to make the world a shittier place
ReplyDeleteUhhh, nobody on this blog has ever blabbered about being a great softball player.
ReplyDelete"I played HS baseball with Jeff Bagwell and Wakefield at FIT."
ReplyDeleteWhat does that make you?
Oh yeah... a nobody.
I love when people are such losers that they they feel the need to constantly attempt to live vicariously through others. LOL
Keep attempting to make yourself sound cool while you say moronic things like "Retardi" and we'll keep laughing at you! LOLOLOL
