Earlier today I posted a quote from Girardi in which he basically said Marte wasn't ready to pitch at the major league level. Now we learn from Peter Abraham that Damaso Marte "has been indefinitely excused from the team for 'personal reasons.'"
That should just about put an end to his 2009 season.
