  1. haha loving the lineup girardi is putting out there tonight...play the kids and rest the vets. Although maybe on saturday and sunday in tampa the last 2 games of the season i would play the regulars to get them back into the swing of things for the ALDS.

by the way greg ive always wondered...how do you get the lineups so early before the game? YES doesnt even post them until about 6:30 for a 7:00 game.

    ReplyDelete
  2. any reason why cano never gets a day off?

    ReplyDelete
  3. He'll get a day or two this week. Plus they have another off day Thursday so it will probably end up bring three days off for everyone this week.

    ReplyDelete
  4. What up guys? At the stadium, scored me a 10 dollar tier seat behind home. This is the 1st time I've ever been to a game a lone, I dont know what to do with myself.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I've been to one game alone in my life and it was game 3 of the 1999 NBA Finals. I had a good time, made friends with the people around me.

    ReplyDelete
  6. bro why didnt you call i would have attended the game.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I did, several times, you didn't pick up, check your missed calls and VM

    ReplyDelete
  8. My first time going to the stadium by myself was in 07 i enjoyed it and made couple friends and it came out cheaper cuz every time i go to a game im always the one buying Putin money for the beers.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Cano is a young kid he doesn't need extra rest like some of the older players do.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Greg, I have the easiest access to Millers tonight, literally 15 feet behind me...I know what Im doin'..

    ReplyDelete
  11. live chat last game of the year?

    ReplyDelete
  12. come on, put CANO in the #3 hole... he's your 2nd best hitter this season....

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm happy to see this lineup today, but Cano should bat 3rd if he's playing.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Gardner, Cano and Melky all celebrated hard yesterday. LOL There might be an hangover effect tonight for all 3 of them.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hey guys, I ventured down the the field level to get a better look at the players. I yelled out towards Swisher for the Swisher salute and he tossed me a signed ball, it was pretty sweet, 1st and only autograph this season for me.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I would also like to add, F the rain!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yeah I know, did they say what time they will start playing?

    ReplyDelete
  18. nothing yet, they have wood and buckets on the tarp thou..

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh, then their most be alot of rain coming then.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  25. I don't think so Durden. I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I gotta say my iphone and blackberry are saving my life right now, im on here on my iphone, and on aim on my blackberry.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Greg, Line up change, Shelly Duncan in, Damon out.

    ReplyDelete
  28. lol, I lost my phone in D.C. It was a school field trip in April and I lost it I think at the WW2 memorial. lol. I might be getting one soon though.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Give guys days off while you can, but lets not hope that theres an injury.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Wow last time I was in DC i was in 5th grade.

    ReplyDelete
  31. durden ill buy that ball from you

    ReplyDelete
  32. I probably won't be back there for a long time. Still, I had a lot of fun their. We stayed at a very nice hotel. I forgot what it was called though.

    ReplyDelete
  33. btw, love the line up, Miranda is suppose to be the masher right?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yeah, and I bet these next few game he'll be in there.

    ReplyDelete
  35. logan I share an apartment with you, the ball will be in the living room, why buy it?

Liam, $240 is a little much for Swish, thats Cano, Posada, Rivera $$

    ReplyDelete
  36. true that Durden although your never here!

btw Courtney's here she waiting for you to get back you lucky bastard ;)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Jesus, she's there already? I said like 10:30-11, not 7.

Liam Swisher is worth like $120 tops, I'm not selling it though, it's one of the few Yankees I don't have.

I do have a Gary Sheffield signed bat that I am contemplating putting on eBay though, I'm having a hard time coming to grips with that decision, keep changing my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  38. is that the Yankee branded bat or Detroit?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hey, a dollar is a great offer.

Hahahaha, no one would want a Sheffield ball. I would pay a cent for that. JK.

    ReplyDelete
  40. no no no, thats the Detroit branded bat, Logan.

The Yankee branded is Jeter and Cano.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Its a Sheffield bat Liam, signed and authenticated.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I ment bat. After what he said about Torre and the Yankees i'm just pissed.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Liam he's not the only one with those feelings. Kenny Lofton also said something similar.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Durden, your on a phone and you still type faster than I do. lol. I'm such a slow typer.

    ReplyDelete
  45. They call me lightening thumbs. I've also had years of practice :P

    ReplyDelete
  46. lightening thumbs, rocket fingers, we have a ton for you, seriously man, u can set a guiness record.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh, i've been using the computer sense I was 7. Still no where good.

    ReplyDelete
  48. dude Courtneys totally flaunting it in my face..

    ReplyDelete
  49. Logan, don't even think about it, seriously.

What was wrong with Stacy the other night? Why you always want my woman? To be the best you got to beat the best, not steal from the best.

Liam, you'll get there. I use to be really slow too. Now I can type over 100 words a minute.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm going to be really slow now. I'm typing and eating dinner at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  51. They just said they should have an update in a few minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Cool. See I wasn't that slow this time.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  54. Court's not like that man.

Still no updates. Seems like a lot of people gave up and left already.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Logan, you gotta realize theres young kids here man, watch what you say.

    ReplyDelete
  56. It's a Yankees vs. Royals game. Most likely they'll get money back and get playoff tickets.

    ReplyDelete
  57. oh no, your not man, dont worry, logans new and has to learn whats right to say and whats wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  58. No problem. I'm almost done with my steak!

    ReplyDelete
  59. A steak is like $50. I was gonna but my mom and dad said lets go to Hard Rock.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yeah, all done with my steak, now the vegies!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Havent tried them, I think you have to be a season ticket holder or have a special ticket to get in like the Mohegan Sun. And if its priced like the Sun forget it man.

It cost me 115 dollars for a beer, 2 glasses on wine and an appetizer.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Really wow. My dad can get that for $10 at a Rockcats game. They are in the Twins minor league system.

    ReplyDelete
  63. alright guys, im gunna walk the concourse, drink a few beers and see if i can exchange this ticket for another day, theres literally only 25 people in the tier and i dont see many down below.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Alright see ya Durden. Hopefully you get something good.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Wow, missed quite a conversation here.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Durden didn't have much to report. Radar is pretty crappy. Probably gunna be a 8:30 or 9 start.

    ReplyDelete
  67. By the way there was a lineup change: Damon out, Melky to left, Duncan in right.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  70. should I stay here or go, you guys got any updates? they wont give me any info at all.

    ReplyDelete
  71. According to PeteAbe on Twitter the tarp is coming off.

    ReplyDelete
  72. lol, I guess they're still not trying to win.

    ReplyDelete
  73. happy a stuck around, although i should probably not have any more millers tonight. working on numero 8 and one pitch hasnt been thrown.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hey guys!

Dan Shaughnessy is probably writing an article now on how the sox really, really, really aren't trying to win.

    ReplyDelete
  75. not even close to be smashed. but i do gots a nice buzz goin.

    ReplyDelete
  76. shaughessy is a piece of cow poop

    ReplyDelete
  77. oh wait the correct vernacular is cow dung.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm going to the game on Wednesday. Planning to take the train and go early so I get catch a nice buzz before the game.

    Hope Joba pitches well.

    ReplyDelete
  79. durden way to waste approximately 80 dollars.

    ReplyDelete
  80. That's probably the biggest game of the rest of the reg. season, CF. Very interesting start for Joba.

    ReplyDelete
  81. For your target practice enjoyment:

    ReplyDelete
  82. tryin' CF, trying. my neighbor is a season ticket holder, might try to buy some from him.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I have an 11 game plan. We have tix for game 7 of the ALCS, Section 135, 4 rows from the field.

May not get a chance to see any playoff games but if there is a game 7, those seats are great.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I'm back from doing my homework and having a nice got really wet bringing the animals in. The worst part we lost a chicken so we're still looking for it.

    ReplyDelete
  85. you live on a farm Liam? Or just have chickens?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Nice CF. Hopefully for you their is, but we want to sweep everything.

    ReplyDelete
  87. i have never gotten to go to a playoff game

    sad face :(

    ReplyDelete
  88. A small farm but yes. Goats, chickens, ducks, parrots, dogs. We have a stream so my ducks stay their most of the time. Them and the chickens are not pened up so they go anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Hey guys. Just got back from Yom Kippur dinner with my family.

(I'm half jewish and half catholic, so I celebrate all the jewish and catholic holidays)

I'm so happy the game didn't get rained out. I love the lineup too. Cano batting 3rd, Cervelli behind the plate, it's what you want to see after we clinch the division.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Hey YB, I'm the same, my moms Italian and roman catholic, my father is polish and jewish.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Glad you had fun YB.

    Yeah, I love todays lineup.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Gaudin has quietly been a very nice addition for the Bombers. I wouldn't be surprised if he returns next year.

    ReplyDelete
  93. You guys are all pretty young. You have plenty of time to get to playoff games and the great thing is that the Yanks are there a lot.

I didn't get to my first playoff game until 96 when I was 31.

Since then I have been to quite a few alds, alcs and 2 World Series games.

    Your time will come!

    ReplyDelete
  94. My neighbors are Jewish. They went to New York to see there family today. They are the best.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I hope so. I really hope so as a player CF.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Well, Happy Yom Kippur my Jewish friends.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Liam, that's pretty cool. I grew up in Connecticut and had 2 cow fields in my neighborhood. I always liked farms.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Good luck with that Liam. That would be incredible.... especially if you could score your good friend crossfire tix when you get there! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  99. Yeah, I could get all of you tics if I really hit the big time. But I've been having arm problems though. I was going to pitch yesterday but the stupid rain postponed it. Next weekend hopefully I could. I play in the Babe Ruth League.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Thanks CF.

I'm looking foward to going to an ALDS or ALCS game soon. My dad said he's looking for tickets, and usually that always ends with him surprising me with tickets on the day of the game.

Like this year. My dad said he was "looking for tickets" for the first game at the new stadium. So, I went to school, and I was really excited just to watch it on TV, thinking I'm not going to the game. Then at 4, 3 hours till game time, my dad says to come into the living room. I go in, and he says, let's go up to grandpa's to watch the game. I agree, and we head up there. I sit down on the couch, watching Mike Francesca, and my dad comes up to me and hands me an envelope. I open it, and it's 2 tickets to the game, field level, first row. My dad's full of surprises, so ya never know.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Thats so cool. We can't get tics like that. We don't have the money. But we do go once a year.

    ReplyDelete
  102. That's cool. It's great to be a dad and bring your kid to a game. My two kids are very far apart in age. My oldest son's first game was back in 1993 when Reggie's number was retired.

When I went to the World Series back in 1996, I promised him I would bring him to a WS game someday.

I brought him to game 4 in 2001. The Mr November game. It was awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Did the Yankees choose what series they want to play yet or are they waiting to see who they are going to play? And who do you want to see the Yanks play in the ALCS? Boston or Anaheim?

    ReplyDelete
  104. No they won't choose until their opponent is known.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Luck you. The best game I ever went to was a Matsui walk of against the Angels in 05. It was Shawn Chacons yankee debut. I also saw El Duques debut in 04 after his injuries.

    ReplyDelete
  106. you guys need to get a life.

    focker out.

    ReplyDelete
  107. i come on here once a week and you butt pirates are always yammering to each other, go outside and meet some real people.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I was also sitting in the left firld bleachers for the first first ever post season game between the Yanks and sox.

The Yanks won on a walk-off homer by Bernie Williams in the 10th inning. The ball went over the fence in left center just to my left.

    The Stadium went crazy!!!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Red Sox are losing 11-4 top of the 7th.

Here's to hoping that they go 1-6 this week, and the Rangers go 6-1.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Cool CF.

Anon, you'd be lucky to meet people.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Hey Anon... isn't it time for you to go turn the red light back on in your mother's bedroom?

    ReplyDelete
  112. Yeah!!! Bostons losing. Take that Billy.

Cowgirls have the ball now, crap.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I know people, I know REAL people, not some random schmuck from the internet.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I love how you think Im a sox fan.

    FYI Im an Angel fan.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Cant make me bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  116. If your an Angels fan, why are you here? And their are children here, including me. Your so bias.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Hey Greg-

Do you ever have problems with images not displaying on here properly?

I am building a blog, and Blogger keeps f***ing up my images.

    ReplyDelete
  118. See that guys, I used a vocab word. Yeah!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Lame-sauce.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I had the same problem Scott! I just gave up.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Glad to hear that I am not the only one, but giving up is not an option. I made a promise to create this blog for a non-profit group I work with, I intend to keep it.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I hate LAA and BOS fans so god damn much.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Good for you Scott. I gave up because I thought about it and I knew that I can't really handle it. Maybe when your blog gets up and running I can come visit.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Way to keep the runner at first shelley!

    ReplyDelete
  125. My season predictions were a mixed bag. I had four division winners right. But it does not appear the Indians will win the Central. No sir. My thought that Trey Hillman would be AL Manager of the Year was clouded by my heavy use of crack at the time apparently. Matsuzaka for Cy Young? Brilliant.

read that on the lohud. laffed my ass off.

    ReplyDelete
  126. the crack comment is probably enough to get him fired but tomorrow is Petes last day!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Liam, it will be for an honor society at my college. Can't believe the hoops I had to jump through just to get permission to do it. Academic affairs seemed pleased by the idea, so hopefully it will do well.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Sometime Scott. Blogger can be frustrating at times.

    ReplyDelete
  129. this might be one of the most boring games ive ever attended.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Hahahaha, Pena got the silent treatment in the dugout.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Damn, Gaudin is pitching a good game. Besides this inning, at least.

And with that comment I'm going to bed. Got school tomorrow and a couple tests. Later.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Did anyone ever figure out the final digit to Coney's cell?

    ReplyDelete
  133. Cano just hit a bomb... Grand Slam!

    8-2 Yanks!

    ReplyDelete
  134. Wow, even with their D lineup they dominate the Royals.... Well done.

    ReplyDelete
  135. the chemistry on this team, just scary, it might take time for the ghosts to come over, but the chemistry this team has almost makes up for it...When the first WS game starts in the new stadium, the ghosts will find there spots, & all will be back to normal...

    ReplyDelete
