Break up the Yankees: In their last 31 games they're 24-7, and they're now two and a half games ahead of the Red Sox for first place. They're 18-7 in July and since Alex Rodriguez returned they're 49-24.
- In 22 starts against the White Sox, Andy Pettitte is 11-9, with a 4.48 ERA. In 11 games in Chicago he's just 3-7, with a 6.83 ERA. Since the all-star game he's 0-1, with a 3.29 ERA. In 13.2 innings he's allowed 5 runs on 11 hits, wlaked 3 and struck out 15.

Yeah tough loss you knew when Pettitte slipped on Thome ball it was going to lead to a run. Poor Andy he has been throwing the ball really well lately and having nothing to show for it.
The yanks didn't adjust to the wide strikezone. They needed to be more aggresive in the middle innings.
Oh well cant win everygame. But this game was frustrating. Coke missed catching Wise ball by an inch and Thome scored 2 runs on cheap hits.
