Roy Halladay continues to own the Yankees. Yesterday he became the first pitcher since Chuck Finley in 1996 to beat the Yankees four times in one season. He pitched seven strong innings, allowing just two runs on eight scattered hits. The only two runs came on solo homers, A-Rod leading off the fourth inning, and Jason Giambi in the sixth.

For the second time in less than a week Andy Pettitte allowed six earned runs to a division rival. He has been very inconsistent this season, and is proving he is no longer a top of the rotation guy. He is now 13-11 with a 4.52 ERA.

The Yankees and Pettitte were once again hurt by a key miscue in the field, this time Xavier Nady lost a first inning fly ball that led to two Blue Jays runs.

One bright spot was the MLB debut of Alfredo Aceves who looked very good in two innings of relief. The 25 year old rookie retired all six batters he faced and struck out three.

The Yanks now start a 10 game road trip, starting with a makeup game in Detroit, They will then head to Tampa for three, Seattle for three, and finish off the trip with three in Anaheim.
