Tex is Day-to-Day

Mark Teixeira left tonight's game in the 3rd innings with what was later described as a bruised thumb. Here's two tweets via Marc Carig to explain the injury further:

Tex has a bruise on the bony part of his right hand just outside the thumb pad.Did it diving yesterday. Felt sore today but tried anyway

Hand still bandaged. Girardi calling it day to day. Swisher will play 1B again if Tex can't go.

Let's hope he doesn't have to miss much, if any, time.
