I would have batted Matsui before Giambi.

As would I. I don't understand Girardi's love affair with Giambi.

I loathe Giambi at first base. There's several plays yesterday that he would've screwed and led to disaster in a 1-0 win.

yeah, he is a complete waste of space at first. on a ground ball right next to him, he'll dive ( fall on the ground) right over it. -damn it arod, hit a damn sac fly!

I agree Jim, I have no idea why Duncan is not playing tonight. Though Giambi did just give that ball a ride.

Mussina's curveball looks great so far. I know it's only the first, but he looks like he has that pitch working which can be big for him.

Greg Cohen said...

Yea he looked very sharp in that inning. Let's hope he can do it for 5 or 6 more.

giambi, sigh....

hahahahha I know, at least he made the play.

I'm really sick and tired of watching shitty AAAA pitchers dominate the Yankees. Sabathia is one thing, but Aaron freaking Laffey? You gotta be kidding me.

Greg Cohen said...

I'm sick of it too, and to make matters worse he's throwing a no-hitter (jinx).

It does happen alot, but tonight especially because its cold, and we all know how baseball players complain if its not warm enough, (its too cold-in a whining voice.)

Greg Cohen said...

I can't believe they're being no-hit by this bum.

Can they please fire Kevin Long? This offense is a joke.

giambi learn how to play first! he should have been picked off, nice shot Molina

Pathetic, can't hit AAA pitching.
I don't understand. Guys that have been in the show for 10+ years and can't get a single hit off some kid.

Greg Cohen said...

Like Cone said that tag is much easier for a lefty. But then again it's much easier for a guy who knows how to play the position.

Bill, they're just lost as a team offensively. It's really pathetic, and I wish I didn't have to watch it.

Greg Cohen said...

Well that's more like it I guess. Two infield singles, a "real" single by Abreu, then a hit batter and two RBI ground outs... I'll take it.
