No Recent Talks About Peavy

From MLB.com:
Don't count the New York Yankees as a player in the Jake Peavy sweepstakes -- not just yet, anyway.

Padres general manager Kevin Towers said on Monday that he hasn't engaged Yankees GM Brian Cashman in anything that resembles a serious discussion about Peavy, the 2007 National League Cy Young Award winner who is on the trading block.

"I have had no direct conversations with Cashman about Peavy over a period of time," Towers said.

Towers also said that his main focus for finding a deal for Peavy is with the Cubs, but they may need a third or even a fourth team to make a deal work.

He also said that as of now the Braves are out of the Peavy sweepstakes, and there have been no talks with the Angels.

As much as some would want this guy in pinstripes, it doesn't look likely that he's going to end up here.

Well, as much as he would look great in pinstripes and pitch well for us, he does not appear to wanna be here,so, we will have to look elsewhere.

too much to give up, probably alot of good prospects and Hughes. Hoarde young pitching like Hughes, aceves etc just in case somebody gets hurt or misses a few starts like Burnett is prone to.
