3D Pre-Rennovated Stadium

(Rick Kaplan)

While we've spent the last two years watching the new Stadium go up across the street, there's been another stadium going up, a 3D version of the pre-rennovated Yankee Stadium. The artists name is Rick Kaplan and his website can be found here.
The purpose of this project is to try and recreate what it was like to be in the old Yankee Stadium (pre 1973-76 renovation). The 3D model is being created in AutoCAD and 3D Studio MAX. The idea is to eventually have an interactive 3D model that people can walk through and explore.
The project is over two years old, and it's really an impressive piece of digital art. If you'd like to check out more pictures go here.
