Who the heck are the Skycoasters?

Well, apparently they're are a pretty big party band out Rochester and have been chosen to provide entertainment on Opening Day at the new stadium. They will perform prior to the pre-game ceremonies as fans are checking out the new digs.

The Skycoasters have played other major sporting events, including Super Bowls and the Summer Olympics.

So has anyone else ever heard of these guys?

I'm from Rochester, I have heard them, they are a decent cover band. Didn't know that they had done stuff outside of Rochester though.

If you've never seen them you're in for a treat. True professionals, great horn section, and vocals - a guaranteed good time.

If you live in Rochester and don't know who the Skycoasters are, you must living under a rock. The band has been together for over 20 years and in addition to local venues, local corporations, they play at major events all over -- Super Bowls, Olympics, Goodwill Games, NASCAR, Yankees for major corporations even went to Barcelona, Spain for the Olympics years back not to mention numerous local events for corporations in Rochester/Buffalo/Syracuse as well as many festivals!

They performed at my wedding last October and were terrific. They travel all over the country to play. They've played for the Steinbrenner family in FL. They have played Superbowl parties as well. That is what sold me on them when choosing them for my wedding. I wish I had hit them up for tix today.
