8/3 YS Demolition Update
These pictures come from WCBS 880's Tom Kaminski who took them from Chopper 880 (hat-tip to New Stadium Insider) this morning. As you can see grass, moss, and weeds are beginning to grow all over the old place. For more pictures go here.

From what I'm hearing its pretty much been ignore by the people who could make a difference.
Anyone heard a date of demolition? All the stuff I have seen said it would start this summer but not sure if that was accurate.
They even mentioned that they wanted to see what affect tearing down the old Stadium would have on the wind in the new one.
this is a damn crime.

I think people mentioned this on baseball-fever but if u notice in one of the pictures, the wall that jeter "dove" over against the red sox is still there. i hope they plan on keeping some of the parts of the stadium
