Phils Put Torre's Dodgers Away, Await AL Winner

Down in Philadelphia tonight the Phillies defeated the Dodgers 10-4 to wrap up the NLCS in five games. They repeat as NL champs and are headed back to the World Series looking to repeat as world champs.

Gotta feel a little bad for Torre, that's twice in a row that the Phillies ended the Dodgers' season in five games in the NLCS. And I really would have loved to see a Yankees-Dodgers series.

By the way, did you hear Mattingly is interviewing for the Indians job? I guess he can turn his focus to that now.

Now it's time for the Yankees to wrap this thing up tonight and start preparing for Philly. The World Series starts on Wednesday, and they're going to have Cliff Lee going in game one, so the Yanks need to end this quickly. Also, giving the Angels any kind of momentum is very dangerous.
