Montero Was Benched For Not Hustling

Many people have been wondering over the past few days why Jesus Montero hasn't been in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre lineup. Well, today we finally got a definitive answer from Chad Jennings:
In other Triple-A news, uber-prospect Jesus Montero was benched over the weekend because he didn’t run out a ground ball. He was taken out of Friday’s game because of the lack of hustle, then he was kept out of the lineup Saturday and Sunday.

Vice president of baseball operations Mark Newman confirmed the reason for the benching and said Montero will return to the lineup tonight.
If there's a time to stop a player from doing these things, it's in the minors when they're still ready to learn. Good job by the Yanks and the SWB staff.
